Susan grew up in San Jose, California, and attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy.
After working several years in a variety of physical therapy settings, she became a childbirth educator and taught childbirth classes at the same hospital where both of her children were born before relocating to Memphis in 2004.
In 2017, she completed advanced training to qualify as an Evidence Based Birth(R) Instructor. She also earned her CLC in 2020 to provide evidence-based counseling on breastfeeding to families. With experience supporting families through birth as a DONA-certified doula, she developed an interest in pelvic physical therapy specifically focusing on providing care to women during their childbearing years.
Susan’s two children are now in college, so she is enjoying more quiet time with her husband and cats at home these days. She is an active member of the Memphis Birth Collective and likes to create paper and vinyl projects with her Cricut.
